Professionally, she began her career in investment banking focusing on commercial real estate and raising debit and equity for public companies.  This provided in-depth understanding of investing strategies, which is applicable for both corporations as well as for individual investors.

Annie Morrison earned her certification of CERTIFIED SENIOR ADVISOR® from the Society of Certified Senior Advisors® (2021), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor SM (2013)and Accredited Asset Management Specialist SM (2014) from the College for Financial Planning with over 35 years of financial industry experience.  By working independently, she is not managed to meet corporate “annual sales goals” with service on the periphery, rather the emphasis is on understanding and servicing the client to meet THEIR goals.

To appreciate the dynamics of her aging client’s needs, Annie was previously a member of the Community Advisor Board of the Center for the Study of Aging at McDaniel College in Westminster, MD.  The program aspires to expand personal and professional knowledge of the aging processes and improve the quality of interactions with care provided to elders.

Additionally, Annie was invited to write the “Cents and Sensibility” column for Baltimore’s Child Magazine, a regional parenting publication circulating 50,000 copies monthly in the Baltimore metro area.  Topics included savings, college planning, investing, introduction to LTC, life and disability insurance, credit, and many other financial planning strategies.

Academically, Annie graduated in 3 ½ years from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.  As part of her education, she interned with the US Small Business Administration Department of Economic Research completing an exhaustive analysis of Enterprise Zones and the effects of tax credit incentives to enhance urban development across the country.  She also completed a 12-course intensive program, UCLA Personal Financial Planning Certificate Program, in 2002.

She holds Series 7, 63 and 65 registrations as an Investment Advisor Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network, and holds Health, Life and Variable Insurance Licenses, to provide advisory and financial planning services.

Most recently, Annie has incorporated Medicare Supplemental Insurance to her lineup of offerings to be even more holistic in client financial planning.

Annie is passionate about her dogs Finn and Lexi and animal rescue support, fiction reading, cooking, rescuing plants indoors and outdoors gardening.  She loves her time at the beach in Delaware reading, listening to the waves, getting her Vitamin D laughing with girlfriends.
