Annie Mussoni Morrison, CSA, CRPC®, AAMS®
Principal
Annie Morrison earned her Certified Senior Advisor certification from the Society of Certified Senior Advisors (2021) and the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (2013) and Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM (2014) designations from the College for Financial Planning, and she has over 30 years of financial industry experience. By working independently, she is not managed to meet corporate “annual sales goals” with service on the periphery; rather, the emphasis is on understanding and servicing the client to meet THEIR goals.
To appreciate the dynamics of her aging clients' needs, Annie was previously a member of the Community Advisor Board of the Center for the Study of Aging at McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. The program aspires to expand personal and professional knowledge of the aging processes and improve the quality of interactions with care provided to elders.
Additionally, Annie was invited to write the “Cents and Sensibility” column for Baltimore’s Child Magazine, a regional parenting publication circulating 50,000 copies monthly in the Baltimore metro area. Topics included savings, college planning, investing, introduction to LTC, life and disability insurance, credit, and many other financial planning strategies.
Professionally, she began her career in investment banking, focusing on commercial real estate and raising debt and equity for public companies. This provided an in-depth understanding of investing strategies, which is applicable to both corporations and individual investors.
Academically, Annie graduated in 3½ years from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a bachelor of arts in economics. As part of her education, she interned with the U.S. Small Business Administration Department of Economic Research, completing an exhaustive analysis of enterprise zones and the effects of tax credit incentives to enhance urban development across the country. She also completed a 12-course intensive program, the UCLA Personal Financial Planning Certificate Program, in 2002.
She holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations as an Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®, as well as health, life, and variable insurance licenses, to provide advisory and financial planning services. Most recently, Annie has incorporated Medicare Supplemental Insurance to her lineup of offerings to be even more holistic in client financial planning.
Annie is married to Jeff, a Carroll County Public Schools music teacher at Oklahoma Road Middle School. They live in Hampstead, Maryland, raising two children, Sophia and Brody, along with their rescue dogs, Finn and Lexi.
Other passions include reading, cooking, enjoying kids' sports and concerts (Brody, trumpet and theater; Sophie, piano and voice), searching Pinterest for everything, gardening, and outdoor time with friends.
